Introduction

The Institute of Educational Entrepreneurship and Management is dedicated to fostering leadership in education by equipping students with advanced knowledge and skills in educational leadership, organizational management, and educational policy. This program prepares graduates to take on key administrative roles in schools, government agencies, and private institutions, as well as to contribute to academic research and policymaking in education.

Objectives

The program is learner-centered and aims to:

  • Provide students with expertise in educational leadership, organizational management, and policy development.
  • Prepare students for leadership roles as school administrators, policy analysts, and managers in both public and private sectors.
  • Develop students' research skills to apply social science principles and methodologies in educational inquiries.

Program Highlights and Future Prospects

The Institute has established a strong reputation in research and teaching, earning recognition as an Outstanding Research Institute within the university. Over the past four years, four doctoral students have received the Overseas Research Scholarship from the National Science Council and Ministry of Education, R.O.C. Additionally, each year, more than ten students and alumni pass the principal qualification examination administered by local governments.

Looking ahead, the Institute aims to:

Course Guide

Doctoral students must complete 33 credits of coursework (excluding dissertation research). Full-time students typically fulfill coursework requirements and graduate within three to five years.

Graduation Requirements

To earn a Doctorate, students must:

  1. Complete all required coursework.
  2. Pass the qualifying examination.
  3. Defend their dissertation proposal in an open oral examination.
  4. Complete and successfully defend their doctoral dissertation.
  5. Publish at least three academic papers in peer-reviewed educational journals.
  6. Attend at least twelve research seminars hosted by the Institute.
